Praying as a church for survivors of domestic abuse, reflecting on our own complicity and affirming our beliefs in the value of men and women can be an important part of shifting the culture to one that never tolerates abuse. It can also make it much easier for a victim or survivor to come forward and disclose any abuse, as they discover that this is a safe space to speak up.

We have some examples of liturgy, created by Graeme Skinner of St Mary’s Church, Upton, that you could use within a service.
