Urgent appeal: ensure survivors can continue to find support

Posted by Jenni James on 19 May 2026

We urgently need your help to continue supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

In the past year alone, 296 more women have joined our Survivors Network. We’re so pleased they found us and are now receiving support as they navigate the complicated journey of recovery. But the truth is, at the rate the network is growing, we can’t keep up with this demand.

Our Survivors Network launched in 2014, with just a handful of women. As the network has grown to almost 1,000 members, we’ve expanded the kinds of support that we offer in order to meet this increasing level of need: small groups, recovery courses, our annual retreat. We want to be able to keep going so that every survivor can find the support that she deserves.

Kate’s story shows just how life changing the Survivors Network can be for women navigating the journey of recovery.

We don’t want women like Kate to be kept waiting to talk to our support team. We don’t want them to be sitting on waiting lists to join recovery courses and peer support groups. We know that you don’t either.

That’s why we’re asking for your help. A gift from you of £11 a month will enable us to increase our capacity and meet this unprecedented demand. Fewer waiting lists, more tailored support; every survivor of domestic abuse finding the help they need, when they need it.
