A statement from the Board of Trustees

This is a statement from Tracy Wild, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, regarding Restored CEO Bekah Legg's current personal circumstances and the impact of this on Restored.

Many people will be aware that the last couple of years have been difficult for Bekah as she has navigated the space of her husband Steve being diagnosed with cancer.

Earlier in the year, the doctors were unfortunately unable to provide any further treatment, and Steve has since been receiving palliative care. Developments to his condition in the last week have resulted in Bekah needing to step to the side of leading Restored for an extended time. Bekah, Steve and their family are so grateful for all the prayers and love they have received during this period.

Bekah has been incredible in putting contingency plans in place to ensure the continued smooth running of Restored, working closely with the staff team and the Board of Trustees to make sure all are confident in the outworkings of this. Under Bekah's leadership, the team have been planning for this eventuality, and while no one can be prepared for the speed at which it comes, they are ready to step in and keep delivering on Restored's mission to change the story for survivors of domestic abuse.

Restored's Beacon Partnership Manager, Emma Scott, is increasing her working hours at Restored and will be taking on many of Bekah's responsibilities for this period, to ensure that all partnerships can be maintained and all planned projects and programmes are delivered effectively. Other tasks will be shared amongst the rest of the Restored staff team. Please remember the team in your prayers at this time.

Any questions or concerns can be referred to Emma on emma@restored-uk.org.

Please continue to join us in prayers for Bekah, Steve and the family.

Kind regards,

Tracy Wild on behalf of the Board of Trustees
